Description
Developed for the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Anesthesiology Continuing Education (ACE) Program helps anesthesiologists meet their continuing medical education needs through interactive CD-ROM software and a complementary website. ACE includes 100 questions, discussions of each question, detailed references including web links, links to full-text journal articles, and related multimedia (photographs, charts, illustrations, etc.). The software also contains enhanced features, such as: sorting questions by subset (incorrect, unanswered, media, etc.), full-text searching, performance summary, an integrated Help system, bookmarking & notes, multiple modes of learning including exam simulation, and more. After users have completed all questions, they can easily submit their data via the Internet and then print a customized certificate of completion from within the program. Hypix also created a website where users of the ACE printed book can easily submit their answers online. We continue to work on each new edition of ACE, which are released in April and October of each year.
Responsibilities
Hypix Media, Inc.'s responsibilities for ACE included: strategy and planning; user interface graphic design concept and production; programming; asset integration; processing images; writing all Help text; and coordinating professional compatibility testing. The American Society of Anesthesiologists created all the assessment content (questions, discussions, references) and provided all multimedia elements which support the content (photos, illustrations, etc.).
