Adolescent Suicide and Depression CD-ROM
Description
This CD-ROM educates mental-health professionals on the topic of suicide and depression in adolescents. The user navigates a large amount of written content by interacting with an animated outline-style menu that visually displays exactly where they are in the program. All text is both searchable and printable. Other highlights include quizzes read aloud by a narrator, a floating tool palette, animated tutorial, and a graphic design that's visually interesting while respecting the serious subject matter. In the last two sections of the software, the user can enter information to customize a series of handouts that are displayed and printed using PDF technologies.
Responsibilities
Oregon Health & Science University provided text and videos, and Hypix Media, Inc., created the interface, wrote the programming code, wrote the text of the tutorial and help system, handled voiceover talent, and coordinated reproduction of the finished CD-ROMs.
